REGULATIONS SAMBO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AMONG POLICEMEN AND VETERANS AND COMBAT SAMBO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

20-24 October, 2005, Prague, Czech Republic

1. General conditions.
1.1Championship is held according to the Rules of Sambo currently in force and FIAS Regulations.
1.2Championship will be organized and held by European Union Sambo Association (EUSA) and Sambo Federation of Czech Republic.
1.3Championship is held to popularize and develop sambo in Europe and in the World and to consolidate the International sports contacts.
2. Date and Place.
Competitions will take place from 20 to 24 October, 2005 in the city of Prague, Czech Republic, in the Sport Complex “Club Hotel Praha – Pruhonice”, Pruhonice 400, 25243, Czech Republic, Tel: +420 267 750 019, Fax: +420 267 750 021, e-mail: club.sport@seznam.cz, www.club-hotel-praha.cz
3. Participation terms.
3.1Sportsmen from National Sambo Federations of the FIAS members with paid annual fee can take part in the Competitions.
3.2Official staff of the delegations:

Among the veterans:
- 2 managers,
- 2 coaches,
- 1 doctor,
- not more than 84 sportsmen (2 persons in each weight category in 6 age groups)

Among the policemen:
- 2 managers,
- 1 coach,
- 1 doctor,
- 9 sportsmen (1 person in each weight category)

Combat Sambo:
- 1 manager,
- 2 coaches,
- 1 doctor,
- 9 sportsmen (1 person in each weight category)

The applications for participation should be sent to the Championship Organizing Committee till latest September 20th, 2005.

Each application must have the information about all the participants.

- surname and name as it is written in the foreign passport
- date of birth and number of the foreign passport

Sambo Federation of Czech Republic is responsible for providing visa support only to the delegations with the information about the participant given on due time.
4. Technical terms of Championships:

Sambo World Championship among veterans:

Age groups:
35-39 years, 40-44 years, 45-49 years, 50-54 years,55-59 years, 60 years and older.

Weight categories:
62 kg, 68 kg, 74 kg, 82 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg, +100 kg

Weight categories among policemen and Combat Sambo:
62 kg, 68 kg, 74 kg, 82 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg, +100 kg

4.1Competitions are held according to the FIAS Rules
4.2Each sportsman must have medical examination 3 days before leaving the home country for the competitions. The results have to be marked in the fighter’s license.
4.3The Organizing Committee guarantees first aid to all members of sport delegations.
4.4Team places are given according to the points collected in the individual classification.
4.5All participants, coaches, referees, and representatives must have medical insurance.
4.6The international category referees are allowed to umpire according to the FIAS official invitation.
4.7All delegations should have a cassette/CD with the National anthem and 2 National flags 1x2m.

5. Financial terms and accommodations.
5.1The Organizing Committee covers expenses for the members the FIAS Executive Committee and the referees for the Championships (max. 20 persons) from 20th till 24th of October.
5.2Each member of the delegations must pay to the Organizing Committee participation fee counting 50 Euro per person per day (2 meals a day plus accommodation), and, if needed, 10 Euro fee for the transfer airport-hotel-place of the competition- and back.
5.3Managers of sport delegations have to fulfill all financial obligations with Organizing Committee on the arriving day and carry out all accreditation demands.
5.4The Organizing Committee covers expenses for managers of sport delegations if the membership of the delegation is more than 10 people.

ATTENTION!

Participants not included into the application form till the 20th of September but arriving to the competitions have to pay 70 Euro per day.

6. Rewarding of winners.

Sportsmen won first three prize places will be rewarded with medals, diploma and valuable prizes.

Financial rewarding for the Combat Sambo participants:
1st place- 1000 USD, 2nd place- 500 USD, 3d place- 200 USD.

7. Official Ceremonies.
7.1Participants will take part in the official ceremonies of the Championship.
7.2National anthems and rising of National flags ceremonies are performed in the honour of the winners.
