Sambo to the Olympics!

On April 10, 2007 FIAS and Cassidy & Associates, a company specializing in the government relations industry, signed a contract.

The framework contract suggests that Cassidy will assist FIAS in popularization of Sambo throughout the world, and also provide consulting services on the problem of including Sambo in the Olympics.

The contract was signed by David Rudman, FIAS President and Evgeniy Hapeshis, Cassidy & Associates Partner Manager. FIAS Executive Director Nikolay Lents and Cassidy & Associates Manager Viacheslav Tabachnikov were present at the ceremony.

According to the partnership agreement, Cassidy & Associates will promote and popularize the Russian national sport in the world; help in creating positive Sambo perception in the leading sport media; identify potential partnership opportunities with commercial bodies and Government benefiting FIAS initiatives of further international Sambo development.
