Dear colleagues!

You know that the annual FIAS Congress was held last year in November in Thessaloniki. A new President of FIAS was elected at this Congress - Mr.Vasiliy Shestakov, Deputy of Russian Federation State DUMA (Russian Federation Parliament).

Today FIAS is a modern international organization. It acts in accordance with the requirements of today Worldwide sports Movement. FIAS sets up the following basic goals:

to increase the number of national SAMBO federations, recognized by national Olympic committees of their respective countries;

to make SAMBO more spectacular and attractive sport for children, youth and spectators;

to promote SAMBO through a greater resources of Media and innovative communications

to include SAMBO into more Multisport worldwide Games

Note:

FIAS is planning to take part in two coming events - First World Combat Games in Beijing in August 2010, and World Summer Student Games in Kazan in 2013.
