Professional Sambo League Match in Ryazan

On November 30, 2006 Professional Sambo League Match was held in Ryazan (Russia). Teams from professional Sambo clubs "Chetra" (Cheboksary) and "Desantnik" (Ryazan) met in the ring of Ryazan State Circus.

During the press-conference held before the match, FIAS President and Chairman of Board of Directors of Professional Sambo League David Rudman noted that sportsmen participating in the League are the very best samboists in the world, people who are well-known around the globe.

"Our league is based on the same principle as NHL. But since the Professional Sambo League has been only for the last two years, there is still not much of the competition present. All the main players are under contracts, and other clubs have to take whoever is left. But when the contract of any strong samboist will expire, he will go to the League. After that even the weakest club in the League can sign him", - said Rudman.

8 fights were held during this Professional Sambo League Match: 4 in Sport Sambo, 4 in Combat Sambo. According to the results of the fights, club "Chetra" (Cheboksary) won the Match with the total score 6:2.
